Nor chiefly that you may go where you will,
But in the rush of everything to waste,

Off any still or moving thing you say.
Two such as you with such a master speed
Cannot be parted nor be swept away
From one another once you are agreed
That life is only life forevermore
Together wing to wing and oar to oar.

Health- Installment 2

Last night on the ride back from NY, I listened to Fresh Air with Terry Gross.  They were featuring an author, T.R. Reid who has recently published a book entitled, “The Healing of America: a Global Quest for Better, Cheaper and Fairer Health Care”.  In it, he discusses the different systems used around the globe and compares some of their strengths and weaknesses.  During his travels, he also was searching for a solution to his bum shoulder.  He highlights the face that the United States is the only industrialized nation that does not have some form of universal healthcare, spends way more per capita than any nation and yet retains lower health standards than many other nations.

What I am eating today.

Below is a list of the what I am eating today.  For more info on eating Paleo, check out this link.

greens+ bar
apple (medium)
almond butter- about 1.5 tbspn
mixed berries (about a cup)
almond milk- 3/4 cup
coconut milk 1/6 cup
salmon-1.5 servings
almond, cashew, cranberry mix from trader joes- good handful
iced coffee- cream and sugar

about 3 cups spinach

lime- juice squished into a glass and mixed with water- que refrescante!
olive oil- tblspoon

chicken- one breast cooked with dash of olive oil and seasonings

Carrots- about 10 baby ones

1/2 avocado

1/2 bell pepper
